Yangon

Mandalay

Yangon is the capital and gateway to the Myanmar with lush tropical flowers, trees and beautiful lakes. Old colonial style buildings and people wearing traditional costumes can still be seen in the city and this is one of the most and unusually wonderful scenes in the world.

Mandalay, the capital city of the last reigning dynasty of Konbaung Kings, is situated on the eastern bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River in central Myanmar. To the east, there are the blue Shan mountain ranges, which give the city a physical dignity.

 

Bagan

Bagan was the capital of the first unified Empire of Anawrahta founded in 849 AD, and flourished from 1044 to the 13th century. Within an area of 42 km, thousands of pagodas were built. The inventory of Bagan pagodas as documented by the Archeological Department listed the standing pagodas as 2217.

 

This vast picturesque lake, 900 meters above sea level, is one of the main tourist attractions in Myanmar. The lake, 22 km long and 10 km across, has a population of some 150,000, many of whom live on floating islands of vegetation. Inlay Lake, natural and unpolluted, is famous for its scenic beauty and the unique leg rowing of the Inthas, the native lake dwellers.

 

Kyaikhtiyoe

Ngwe Saung Beach

It is one of the most ancient and celebrated pagodas. It had been built during the life time of the Buddha over 2400 years ago. This pagoda is situated on a rocky mountain 3615 ft above sea level and about 160 km from Yangon and 11 km of hiking from the base camp at Kyaikhto. Visitor can reach by car up to the point about a mile away from the Pagoda.

Located 250 km from Yangon on the bay of Bengal coast. . It is the nearest beach from Yangon driving about 6 hours via Pathein.
